The girl in love

I dream of filling the world with strawberries. I'm a quiet girl but once you get to know me I'm a fun loving girl who loves to laugh. I love dancing and playing video games. I'm fond of eating, eating and eating. I'm still a girl inside a womanly body. I am an unretired internet addict.

BB creams
Monday, February 20, 2012

Have you heard of BB creams? Also known as blemish balms and beauty balms, these creams have recently taken the beauty world by storm. So what is this amazing new product? A blemish balm is a tinted moisturizer with extra benefits. It contains SPF, disguises blemishes, and soothes and moisturizes skin—some versions even contain anti-aging properties. It is an all-in-one cosmetic beauty and skincare product. Depending on the brand you choose, this cream can act as foundation, concealer, sunblock, and moisturizer all in one go.

The first version of BB cream was developed in Germany in the 1950s by dermatologist Christine Schrammek, M.D. (who still sells the original version on her website!) for her patients after they had finished treatments such as skin peels and facials. This BB (Blemish Balm) cream was designed to soothe skin while camouflaging redness with its tinted color. 30 years later, BB cream was introduced to the Korean market, then quickly became popular throughout Asia. Korean celebrities became obsessed with the product, attributing it to their flawless skin and calling it a “miracle cream.”

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector All in One BB Cream - I kind of like this BB cream. It has a mousselike texture. I squeeze a pea sized amount into the palm of my hands and then rub them together and press into my skin. The look of my skin is improved in a subtle way. But the packaging is really ugly. So many BB Creams have nice tubes and Garnier normally does as well but this isn't my favorite. Would I recommend it? Yes if you're looking for an inexpensive product that's in between a primer and a tinted moisturizer.

Skin79 Super+ BB Cream Pink Label - Overall, this BB cream is good. It matches my skintone very well, maybe one of the best matched for my Asian skin. My skin is oily, but this BB cream gives my skin a natural dewy look after hours. The coverage is also good, gives a flawless look on my face and cover the redness and minor blemishes almost perfectly. Love the packing. Very hygienic.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream - This is my favorite BB cream out of the very few that I own. My favorite thing about it is that it looks very natural. I use shade 31 which is darker than my face color but it matches my body color well. I do not recommend this bb cream to those with oily skin. It will turn your face into a grease ball. I would definitely be buying this product again once i run out.

Lioele beyond the solution BB cream - It comes in a pretty pink and white tube with a pump dispenser, so not only is the packaging cute as heck, it's hygienic and practical too. It leaves a dewy look and looks absolutely amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who is new to bb creams.
